Project Manager – Exhibition Design & Construction We are an established, full-service exhibition design and manufacturing company based in Kürten, Germany, approximately 25 km/16 mi east of Cologne. For over 30 years, CHRITTO has provided top quality, ready-for-use solutions for exhibitors worldwide. We specialize in booth construction, brand management and live-communication. Due to our company’s rapid growth, we are looking for experienced, motivated individuals to join our team. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of project manager, available as of August 1, 2011. The project manager will be responsible for handling the entire exhibition construction project from start to finish. Project parameters include calculation of costs, bid proposal, customer consultation and care, project planning and preparation, construction site supervision, cost control, project accounting and post-project costing analysis with necessary customer loyalty. Job Description - Preparation of Bid Proposal: o Create bid proposal packages for the production of exhibition booths, including all required internal and external services (design, blueprint, project management, construction management, assembly/dismantling, transportation, out-of-pocket expenses, carpentry, steel manufacture, scenery and set building, graphics, technical services, decoration, flooring, furniture, glass, acrylic, computer and video technology, etc.) o Development of constructive proposals for implementing architectural blueprints in cooperation with the purchasing department and production (crosschecking in regards to feasibility and cost structure) o Negotiate with external suppliers, subcontractors - Project and Cost Management: o Manage entire project from initial concept to the finished booth o Outline and oversee all project deadlines and phases, ensuring all aspects of project are completed on schedule. o Supervise booth installation and serve as the customer’s direct contact on-site. o Assume responsibility for the financial success of his/her project, managing all budgetary developments up to the settlement of the final invoice. - Customer Support: The customer is our top priority! o The project manager is in constant contact with our customer. The quality of his/her work, as well as his/her personal relationship with and support of the customer, frequently has a direct impact on customer loyalty. Minimum Qualifications - Our preferred candidate is familiar with flexible quotation estimates, project management, and dealing with customers and suppliers. - Strong technical and practical know-how and a keen spatial sense is a must. The best candidate would have a personal affinity for working with figures and tables. - The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architecture/Interior Design, or a comparable technical degree, from an accredited university or technical school. - He/she should be confident, work well with others, possess excellent customer service skills, be proactive, and take responsibility for his/her decisions. - Other preferred qualities include a strong work ethic, advanced multi-tasking and organizational skills, be assertive, decisive, and flexible, and work well under pressure in order to meet project deadlines. The candidate is willing to work overtime and on weekends when necessary. - He/she is able to accurately and efficiently analyze complex problems and quickly develop an effective solution. - He/she possesses a proven ability to lead and motivate employees. - He/she should be proficient with standard software programs (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, general Internet, E-Mail etc.), and will be trained on CHRITTO’s internal software. - The candidate should also be fluent in written and spoken English - He/she will have several years (5+) years of professional experience managing exhibition construction projects.
